Getting Started with Excel 2013

This Focus On session is designed to give an introduction to the essential aspects of Excel. It is entirely ‘hands on’ and those attending will gain a good basic understanding of spreadsheets.

By the end of the session delegates will be able to create new spreadsheets, open and change existing spreadsheets and use fomatting tools to display and print spreadsheets effectively.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Spreadsheet concepts, ribbon and commands 
  • Creating, saving and closing spreadsheets
  • Entering, editing and deleting data 
  • Using AutoFill, Flash Fill and adding numbers with AutoSum 
  • Formatting column widths, text and sizes, cell alignment and numbers
  • Previewing and printing 

Please note: Delegates may wish to bring their own laptop to this Focus On session. Delegates should note that Microsoft Excel 2013 software will be required. If you do not have a Laptop one will be provided. Please advise when booking this workshop.
