IOSH Surveying Trees, Assessing Risks

This one day workshop is an IOSH Approved course. The workshop will cover trees and the law, parasitic tree fungi, tree defects and Health and Safety when surveying trees and assessing risks.

A course workbook will be provided and candidates will undertake an assessment, moderated by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. Candidates who successfully complete the workshop will receive an IOSH certificate.

Learning Outcomes:

• The importance of carrying out regular “Surveying Trees‐Assessing Risks” assessments

• Trees and the Law

• Spotting obvious tree defects

• Zoning usage of a golf course which relates to “Surveying Trees‐Assessing Risks” frequency

• Confidently dealing with golf club members’ tree issues • Understanding arboricultural works
