Seminar 18 - Integrated Pest Management - A Summary of Five Years Successful Trial Work Managing Microdochium Nivale on Turf Grass

The key to successful IPM is to understand and combine a range of turf management technologies to provide a healthy plant at the time of disease pressure. Following five years of successful trials, a range of IPM methods have been developed to help course managers understand the approaches to Microdochium management. This seminar will summarise the extensive trial work and focus on the successful final season of work completed on a Poa annua based surface, where a range of approaches (including non-fungicidal) provided excellent disease control throughout a high pressure disease season.

Learning Outcomes:
• What Integrated Pest Management is
• A range of options which could be included in an IPM programme
• Evaluate a range of approaches for IPM on turfgrass

Presented by Henry Bechelet, Technical Sales Manager, UK and Ireland and Dr Andy Owen, International Technical Manager, ICL
