The Turfgrass Plant

Turfgrasses are the foundation of our industry and our knowledge and understanding of them is increasingly important as we face the challenges of the future. This workshop will introduce the anatomy of the turf grass plant, discuss the functions of the different component parts and will introduce the skills of identification of the individual species.

• How grasses respond to maintenance operations 
• Identifying individual grass species
