Understanding and Using Pumps

This half day hands on workshop will look at the water cycle in irrigation, water supply and groundwater extraction including boreholes and lakes. It will consider water treatment and vertigation; typical types of booster pump sets; controls and communication; basic pump theory sizing; best practice; the tools available and trouble shooting.

• Benefits of VSD’s (variable speed drives) 
• Pump control philosophy and capabilities
