GCMA - Principles of Golf Club Management

N.B. This is a THREE day course.  Sunday 19 January - Tuesday 21 January.

This condensed course delivers topics essential for good management including best practice in Golf Club Management. 

It is suitable for recently appointed golf club secretaries/managers and managers of other departments within a golf club, for those wishing to refresh their knowledge or to enter the world of golf club management. 

Run by the GCMA and supported by industry experts and governing bodies within golf, as well as working club managers, this course has been designed to comply with the units delivered in the ASQ Level 5 Diploma in Golf Club Management. 

Learning Outcomes: 
• Understand the key skills that Golf Club Managers require 
• Gain a basic knowledge of HR issues and legislation 
• Understand how the management structure needs to adapt to the changing practices within both private and proprietary clubs and the different governance models 
• Understand different marketing techniques to help make golf clubs successful in maintaining and attracting membership 
• Gain a basic understanding of the Food and Beverage operation 
• Understand the basic legislation requirements for all golf clubs
