This seminar will explore the engineering behind proper cutting unit set‑up, presenting qualified research that has identified best practices and explaining the optimal maintenance practices for premium quality of cut.

Greg Turner is a 1984 Bachelor of Science graduate of The University of South Carolina, and has been with the Foley Company since 1990.  Having worked the Northeast region of the U.S from 1990-1994 and the Southeast region from 1994-1998, he was moved in 1998 to the factory headquarters in River Falls, WI.  Greg has visited and communicated with the major cutting unit suppliers over many years and has learned and gained valuable knowledge surrounding cutting unit design and functions.  30 plus years of hands-on learning in the field provides valuable insight into the basics of optimal reel maintenance and performance of equipment.  This experience assists with understanding the OEM perspective of maximizing cutting equipment investments while minimizing potential for issues.
