Stephen will talk about his 34 years of experience in greenkeeping and his work with wildlife and conservation. He will also cover the projects he has been involved with, and the wildlife he has seen over his career at John O’Gaunt Golf Club and Woodhall Spa Golf Club. Stephen will also touch on sustainability and what clubs can do to improve their sustainability credentials and future‑proof their club.

I have been a Greenkeeper for over 34 years. Most of that time was spent at John o'Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire but I moved to Lincolnshire in 2023 and now work at Woodhall Spa Golf Club. I am very passionate about wildlife & Conservation on golf courses. I won Conservation Greenkeeper of the year in 2018. I have appeared on BBC local tv,BBC local radio, BBC radio 4, I have had numerous articles published in national magazines such as Pitchcare, RSPB Magazine, Greenkeeper International, local wildlife group/village newsletters such as Lincolnshire Bird Club. I have also given talks at various industry seminars, Badger Trust Conference, British Dragonfly Society and spoken to students/children at local schools/colleges.
