FAQ's for BTME Attendees

What is BTME?

If there is one week of the year you do not want to miss, then this is it!

Every January the north Yorkshire town of Harrogate comes alive as we welcome over 200 exhibitors and 5,000 delegates from across the world to Europe’s premier exhibition for golf greenkeepers and amenity turf professionals.

Continue to Learn is our world class education programme consisting of conference, classes and seminars.

BTME takes place in the Harrogate Convention Centre, King's Road, Harrogate, HG1 5LA.

See our Getting Here page for more information about travel and accommodation.

Who will be exhibiting at BTME?

Over 150 companies from across the UK & Europe will be in attendance for all three days of the show.

Exhibitors bring their latest innovations, products and services and trade representatives are on hand to discuss with you how they can help improve the playing quality and standard of your golf course or other sportsturf facility. To find out who you will see at BTME, visit the Exhibitor Directory.

What is the BIGGA Celebration sponsored by Jacobsen?

On the opening day of the exhibition we host an informal welcome event when BIGGA members from across the association come together to celebrate everything they have achieved over the past year.

Sponsored by Jacobsen, the event is free to attend, you do not need an invite and there is no dress code.

During the event a number of prizes are handed out to BIGGA members who have made noteworthy achievements throughout the past year. These include:

BIGGA Awards 2024

The winners of the BIGGA Awards 2024 will be announced in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Contribution of the Year sponsored by Bernhard
  • Championship Greenkeeping Performance of the Year sponsored by Origin Amenity Solutions
  • Greenkeeping Project of the Year sponsored by Baroness

Other achievements recognised throughout the evening will include:

  • BIGGA Photographic Competition winner
  • Life Members
  • CPD Achievers
  • Master Greenkeepers
  • Introducing the BIGGA President and Vice President for 2025

How much does it cost to attend BTME?

BTME is free to attend for all visitors. Complete the visitor registration form, which can be found by clicking here.

There is no deadline to book your ticket for BTME and you can register on site on each of the three exhibition days. However, we would recommend you register in advance to avoid queuing and for quick entry.

Once you have registered you will be emailed an e-ticket with your own unique barcode. Please print this out and bring it with you on the day of visiting to enable quick and easy access to the exhibition.

Where can I stay if I need overnight accommodation?

Most of the town’s 2000+ beds are within a short walk of Harrogate Convention Centre. Visit our preferred supplier MICE Concierge for room availability, prices and to book online

Are there catering facilities on-site?

There are fully equipped catering outlets positioned around all four exhibition halls, offering a selection of hot and cold food and refreshments.

Your visitor pass offers unlimited access to the show, so you are able to head into Harrogate for lunch and then continue your tour of the exhibition afterwards.

Contactless payments will be the preferred method of paying at the catering outlets as a means of reducing touchpoints and adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.

Although bringing your own food and drink onto the site is not allowed, we appreciate that some people have special dietary requirements and, in such circumstances, bringing your own food and drink will be permitted.

I will need access to my emails, is there visitor Wi-Fi available?

The Harrogate Convention Centre has a free-to-access guest WiFi service that you will be able to log into once you are on site.
