Biostimulant strategies for sustainable turfgrass management

Hall 3 Seminar Theatre A
11:00AM - 11:45AM, 21 Jan 2026

This seminar demonstrates how biostimulant products can be seamlessly integrated into agronomic strategies and IPM protocols to reduce chemical inputs and enhance turf resilience. Real‑world case studies and field trial data will illustrate the practical benefits of these solutions covering a range of strategies from improved tolerance against abiotic and biotic stresses to faster post‑mowing recovery. The challenges posed by the UK’s evolving climate and current regulatory landscape will be examined while guidance on optimising application timing and dosing will help ensure both environmental stewardship and superior turf performance are achieved.

Learning outcomes:

  •  Understand how the use of biostimulants helps turf managers to comply with current UK regulations
  • Demonstrate how biostimulant products can be integrated into agronomic strategies and IPM protocols
  • Examine practical case studies and field trial data which support the use of biostimulant products
  • Discover how application timing and dosing can be used to optimise biostimulant applications
