Mental health survival in the workplace
This half day class explores staying happier and healthier, and how we can help when we or others need it. Delivered by Graham, who shares his own lived experience of work‑related stress, anxiety and depression, including what did and didn’t help his own recovery. Delegates are encouraged to explore their own coping strategies and consider some shared ideas.
The overall message is one of hope: acknowledging the challenges of life, work and mental health. From periods of low mood to diagnosable illness, health and wellbeing being improved by self‑care, connecting with others, and seeking professional support when necessary. Also touching upon some of the principles and advice given to Mental Health First Aiders.
Despite the serious nature of many of the topics covered, Graham makes his training sessions supportive, engaging and enjoyable.
