- Planning from the bottom up
Planning from the bottom up
Planning from the bottom up – involving your team in building a successful plan
Many plans fail because they are ‘imposed’ on the team charged with implementing them, not because they are bad plans. We all tend to support a plan that we have had a chance to contribute to and in which we have been consulted. This class will discuss the challenges of this ‘bottom up’ approach and give practical steps and solutions as to how you can make this approach work at your club, to ensure that the final plan is implemented and followed.
Learning Outcomes
- Understanding what a ‘bottom up’ approach means
- Why ‘bottom up ‘ is better than ‘top down’
- Tips, ideas and tools to build a plan that is likely to be followed
- A simple and easy‑to‑follow approach to creating a three‑to‑five year strategic plan that your club can use
