Strategic and sustainable course improvements

Queen's Suite 5
1:15PM - 4:45PM, 21 Jan 2026

Golf course renovations have been part of the sport’s evolution since 1764. Whether large or small, short‑term fixes or long‑term master plans, course changes are nearly constant. But how often do we pause to consider the broader impact of these renovations ‑ not just on playability, but on sustainability, strategy, and community value? This class will explore how to plan and execute successful course improvements that deliver maximum benefit, not only for golfers, but also for nature, club finances, and long‑term operational efficiency. Participants will gain tools to better define renovation goals, project briefs, engage with stakeholders, and identify opportunities that are often overlooked in the typical project planning processes.

Guest industry speakers from a design and construction background will also be invited to contribute their individual perspectives to the group on the above topic during the class.
