There is some evidence to suggest that there may be alternative raw material sources and technologies for slow‑release outfield fertilisers to compete with polymer coated materials that have been historically used. The aim of the study was to compare a number of alternatives, applied as a single early season application and to measure their longevity with respect to maintaining sward density.
