BIGGA Elevates

BIGGA has launched BIGGA Elevates, a new initiative designed to support, inspire, and connect women working across golf and turf – sectors traditionally dominated by men. The first event will take place at BTME in Harrogate on Wednesday 21 January at 4pm, in collaboration with The R&A and Syngenta.

The event aims to build a strong, supportive community by providing a relaxed and inclusive space for women to share experiences, gain guidance, and grow confidence in their careers. A panel featuring industry figures including Jackie Davidson (The R&A), TV presenter Sarah Stirk, and a female greenkeeper will discuss their journeys and answer audience questions. BIGGA and Syngenta emphasise that the initiative seeks to celebrate women’s contributions to turf care, strengthen support networks, and promote diversity and inclusion across the golf sector. The event is open to all women attending BTME, regardless of BIGGA membership.
